Resources to guide projects to the market
Karo Bio’s business consists of a research organization divided into departments for discovery research, pre-clinical and clinical development, as well as functions for business development, finance, human resources and investor relations. Operations are conducted at Karolinska Institutet’s Southern campus in Huddinge, outside Stockholm.
The number of employees totals 70, of which 62 are active in research and development. Almost half of the employees have a PhD. The staff has always consisted of co-workers from all over the world; currently representing ten nationalities. The organization is guided by its vision, goal and values.
The line organization supplies the projects with the right competence at the right time. For certain tasks, as for the execution of pre-clinical and clinical studies, specialist organizations are engaged. Karo Bio also has an international network of leading researchers.
The company management consists of five people: the CEO, the CFO, the chief scientific officer, the chief medical officer who is responsible for the clinical development and regulatory affairs and the vice president of business development.
