Positive information in relation to Karo Bio’s collaboration with Merck generates the registration of an addition of the prospectus with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen (FI)

According to Lagen om handel med finansiella instrument (1991:980), kap 2. § 34, any new circumstance of importance that can affect the appraisal of the share, and that occurs, or is given attention, between the time of the approval of the prospectus and the closing of the offering, must be filed as an amendment to the prospectus. Such amendments are registered with the FI.

 They are announced through a press release and made available where the prospectus is accessible. This regulation caused Karo Bio on November 27, 2009, to announce the registration of a so called additional prospectus, in reference to the positive information that the company’s collaboration with Merck now will enter clinical phase II development (see press release, dated November 26, 2009).
